Our research into Systems is concerned with the development and application of systems ideas relating to our key themes of systems thinking and practice, environment and sustainable development, social learning, applied technologies, and information systems.
Much of our work is carried out through action research: helping people in real-world settings to engage with poorly-structured or controversial issues.
The Open Systems Research Group
applies and develops Systems thinking and practice to the study of complex, interconnected situations, focusing on Environment, Sustainable Development, Social Learning, and Information Systems.
